The Rookie Report: August 14, 2010 – Short and Sweet

Hey all,

I haven’t disappeared; I’ve only been putting out fires in other arenas. This week I haven’t run any official events yet. I’m hoping to get some in this evening. However, due to some increased opportunities to work on some other projects, I’ve decided I need to have a shorter time commitment to iRacing. The trucks and the Star Mazda are fun, but they just require too much practice and testing time for me to get anywhere close to being competitive. So I’m going to go back and run a full season of Advanced Legends and the Spec Ford Racer.

That means each day I should be able to complete some testing and an official event (time trial or race) in under an hour. And that’s really about all the time I can give to iRacing right now. I’ll keep posting about my progress and tweeting when I’m going into an official event for those that have been following this blog.

Later this evening I’ll head over to Oxford Plains Speedway in the Legends car and maybe tonight I’ll run some laps at Lime Rock Park in the SFR.

That’s all for now. Look for the tweets to announce I’m headed onto the track! See you out there!
